What a very interesting and useful website. I knew about the letters at the end of the Sheep’s Head but today was the first time I have actually seen them. They are at the very tip of the peninsula, pretty wild and dramatic landscape, We clambered down and were surprised how well defined and impressive they still are, made from large slabs of slate. The pill box is still there too – about 3km to the east on a high ridge.

Thanks. I’m glad to hear that they still look pretty impressive.
